Low Voltage Wiring or Structured Cabling

CAT 5e Wiring

The cable standard provides performance of up to 100 MHz and is suitable for most varieties of Ethernet over twisted pair up to 2.5GBASE-T, but more commonly runs at 1000BASE-T (Gigabit Ethernet) speeds. Cat 5 is also used to carry other signals such as telephone and video.

This cable is commonly connected using punch-down blocks and modular connectors. Most Category 5 cables are unshielded, relying on the balanced line twisted pair design and differential signaling for noise suppression.

CAT 6e Wiring

CAT6e is a heightened specification of CAT6. It doubles the frequency of 250 MHz up to 600 MHz. The TIA does not recognize a standard for CAT6e like it does for CAT6 or CAT5e. CAT6e cables with foil shields grounded can also reach 10 Gigabit Ethernet speed without reducing the maximum cable length.

CAT 6a Wiring

CAT6a is more expensive than CAT6 or CAT6e, it offers great utility with its fast and reliable data speeds, as well as the possibilities it provides for future network expansion without the hassle of new cable installation.

CAT 7 Wiring

Category 7 cable are backward compatible with Class D/Category 5e and Class E/Category 6. Class F features even stricter specifications for crosstalk and system noise than Class E. To achieve this, shielding was added for individual wire pairs and the cable as a whole. Unshielded cables rely on the quality of the twists to protect from EMI. This involves a tight twist and carefully controlled design. Cables with individual shielding per pair such as Category 7 rely mostly on the shield and therefore have pairs with longer twists.

CAT 8 Wiring

When installing CAT8 cable to your network, you need to pay attention to the shield terminations. The CAT8 cable is shorter than other cable categories, which have a length of 100 m. The cable can be difficult to install or terminate. It is quite rigid.

Fiber Optic Wiring

Fiber optic cables are commonly used because of their advantages over copper cables. Some of those benefits include higher bandwidth and transmit speeds. Fiber optics is used for long-distance and high-performance data networking.

Audio Wiring

The thickness of the wire is represented by its gauge or referring to the American Wire Gauge (AWG). The thicker the wire the lower the gauge number & the thinner the wire the higher the gauge number or AWG. For example, a 12 AWG is thicker than an 18 AWG wire. The most common audio speaker wires are 12 Gauge, 14 Gauge, 16 Gauge, and 18 Gauge. Stranded wire is more flexible, easier to route, can withstand vibration and flexing than solid wire; therefore, it is more commonly used in audio speaking wiring. The initial cost of stranded wire is higher due to the more complex manufacturing process. The thickness of the wire you choose is important because it will affect the overall resistance of the speaker circuit. Therefore, it will affect the power transfer between the amplifier and the speakers. Resistance is the measure of opposition to electric current.

Not Just Wiring. Expect more Fort Lauderdale.

Accountability is one good reason to employ a licensed low-voltage contractor. Another good reason is working with a contractor that not only can install your structured wiring, but can also deploy and engineer the infrastructure as well.  Are you looking to open in a new location or scale a current one? We can help throughout the whole process. Not only we help you install the wiring, but also able to assist in procuring and installing all the network components, compute equipment, storage, telecommunications or phone systems.

Our highly skilled staff has extensive experience in the communications industry. JNS is qualified and ready to assist customers with all levels of communications wiring. Our staff of cable technicians and project managers are ready to provide complete cabling solutions for all applications. We understand that the success of any communication project depends on the quality of its products.

Abandoned Cable Removal.

Do you need to replace CAT3 cable with Cat6 or Cat7? Our team can remove old cabling and replace it with newer CAT6 or Cat7 cabling. We also have network cable testers that can certify cables to ensure they are running at the highest speed possible. We use only premiere cable management solutions that are used to route all wiring using manufacturers like Panduit or Chatworth. Our team can also create the documentation necessary to help you understand how everything is connected.

We have the ability to create cable assemblies that are manufactured to your specifications. All components of our assemblies are UL-tested and approved. Every assembly is carefully inspected, and every component is tested using state-of-the-art computer equipment to ensure connectivity. Although quality is not often mentioned, it is an important and ongoing concern for every installation. We are a high-rated contractor in low voltage and strive to be “100% in achieving customer requirements.” This defines quality for our technicians.

Data Centers and Collocations.

Companies grow so quickly that they have no time to maintain a tidy wiring withing their cabinets. Our technicians can help you restore neatness to your cabinet wiring and assist you in identifying the infrastructure connections.  Or perhaps you are deploying a new collocation site or cage and need a vendor that can not only provide the structure wiring, but can also deliver on the procurement of hardware and the network engineering aspect as well.
